PARENTS and STUDENTS:

**This site is intended to increase communication between school and home.  The information presented on Edline changes on a regular basis and should not be used as a means of tracking daily grade changes.

Grading Guidelines

The determination of expected outcomes for each Quarter will consist of a 2-grade system.

The first is your Academic grade each quarter which will be weighted based on the following criteria-    (see course guide about 4th quarter research project)

       Exams-Objective =40% 

       Exams-Laboratory Practical =20%

        Lab Assessments =15%                       

       Homework/Classwork =5%        

       Content & Reading Quizzes =10%          

       Lab/Investigation Write-ups =10%

The second is your Participation grade each quarter which will be based on a rubric that assesses assignment quality, attendance, responsibility, and respect.  These grades do not affect your academic grade, but count towards 25% of your Grade Point Average (your academic grade counts for 75% of your GPA.)
